Please guests, open your minds.
The criticisms are fine but please try also to undestand the culture of the country you are visiting and the people you're going to meet...
My reality, to be a Siennese, obliges me to explain some things to who was born and lived far from the borders of Siena.
The life that we live in Borgo Grondaie is certainly very provincial but also very genuine. One day a guest told me that the furnitures are too rustic and I answered that this is the Tuscan style or at least about Tuscany that I have ever known. Not a reality made of luxury and ostentatious wealth but the closer one to last century peasants' reality.
My grandparents were farmers then had a small grocery store; in short a very simple life and in some ways poor.
What we tried to do at Borgo Grondaie is not to overturn a reality to which we are attached and change these traditions certainly simple but true.
Our size is suitable fot those seeking family size hotel who lives in the tradition and makes them our flag.
What I propose is this: enjoy a simple but pure holiday. Be critical but not blind.
