New Moon: Montepulciano turns into Volterra

Although no longer a teenager I have been fascinated by the first film in the Twilight saga without having read the book an because of that when New Moon came out last week I went straight to the cinema but ... maybe I had too many expectations.

The mystery, magic and the feeling present in Twilight and which I loved have been replaced in New Moon by a sense of romanticism sometimes maybe a little bit overload.

It was so fanny watching the film in a cinema full of kids, especially girls, which at every stage made particularly appreciative comments about Edward, the vampire, which unfortunately in this film we see little.

Movie sets in Tuscany: Quantum of Solace in Siena

Yesterday I saw the last movie of James Bond, Quantum of Solace, with Daniel Craig.
I was very curious to see the scenes made in Siena. They are terrific! I wanted to clap at the first scene as it is amazing.
Immediately after the first chase... that takes place between Lago di Garda and Cave di Carrara, James Bond arrives in Siena in one of the most scenic point of the city: the small square in front of the church of the Contrada dell’Onda from where you can see the Torre del Mangia. From there James Bond drives trough Via Dupré till Vicolo delle Carrozze, another striking corner of Siena in Contrada della Selva. Then the chase resumes and take place along the Bottini di Siena while in Piazza del Campo the Palio race is taking place. James Bond comes out of the Square from the hidden Medieval passage called Bottino di Fonte Gaia, passes in the middle of the crowded square till the Cortile del Podestà and then runs over the roofs of Siena towards Via del Porrione.
